Toilet Training Update

Well we have shelved the potty and the training toilet seat for now as Lucy is clearly not ready and just wasn't showing enough interest in using the toilet to make it worth continuing. She ticks all the boxes in terms of readiness to move on from nappies, except that she is mystified at the concept of losing her nappies and having to use the toilet. She just doesn't seem to see the point of it!

So we'll wait a month or so until we talk about it again. I always thought I would get her trained while she was 2 and am surprised to have a 3 year old who is still not interested. But every child is different and there is no rush to leave nappies behind. School is happy to have her in them and she doesn't go through enough of them these days to be costing a fortune. OK so it's not particularly environmentally friendly but I make up for that in other green ways!
