Christmas lights switch on in London

Last night we all headed into London on the train to see the lights being turned on in Bond Street. When we got into the city we went to one of our favourite family restaurants in Mayfair for an early dinner of pizza and chocolate cake :) The we wrapped up warm and walked to Bond Street where the road was close to traffic and we could wander around watching the entertainment and taking it all in.

The lights were gorgeous as ever - huge bows which are strung across the street and repeated every 50 yards or so. The impressive shop windows were decorated for Christmas too and the streets filled with carol singing and a gospel choir. There were jugglers and a highlight for Lucy was the reindeer. Very sweet!

We walked through South Moulton Street and also through Carnaby Street which were both decorated with amazing lights and decorations including a space theme! I hadn't been into London since we arrive back from the States, so it was a great trip and I loved being there again. It never ceased to amaze me how buzzing it always is there, and how living in a sleepy town outside the city leaves me slightly overwhelmed by the excitement and crowds of London!

We had a fab time and today are all really tired. It was worth it!
