I couldn't resist a dressing gown for Lucy from Marks and Spencer which was a bargain at 7 pounds and is her first ever. She looks grown up in it and she hasn't stopped wearing it since we got home from school. She even wore it in bed.
Here she is showing off her lovely crafts made at the bazaar this past weekend.
Her sparkly gift box (currently the home of a little farmyard pig)
Her reindeer decoration and pine cone.
We have snow here today but life is largely continuing as normal because we haven't got too much (at the moment). It is very cold and icy though, and there were lines of traffic on the main road at the end of our street this morning, as I presume cars were backing up at the junctions and roundabouts in town. My sister was due to come to stay for a few days but decided that the weather wasn't going to make her journey very nice. I don't blame her - she lives near the south coast in West Sussex, and it's a good 2 1/2 hour journey on a good day. She's best off tucked up at home and we are fine here.
We spoke to Joe last night and this afternoon during lunch (4.30am for him in Las Vegas, but he couldn't sleep). He has a fabulous suite at the Mandalay Bay hotel on the strip and views of the city an mountains. Yesterday he went with his colleagues to the Hoover Dam which was impressive by all account. Sounds like he is generally having a fun time and hasn't done much at the event yet. Perhaps it's all a big jolly and the conference is just an excuse? ;-)
