Jen and I have got ourselves into a nice little routine recently. We take it in turns each week to have the other's child to play for a few hours in the afternoon while the other Mum goes to the gym for a class or a workout. It's great for everyone because the kids love each other's company and we don't have to battle with the babysitting at the YMCA being busy, germy or traumatic for the kids.
Lucy and Max play really nicely together. I have only once seen an altercation between the two of them and that was when they were tired and cranky at the beach. So they play with toys, we do some colouring and sometimes a half hour of Postman Pat (Max is a fan too :) We give the kids tea (dinner) just before Mum comes back, and that gives us even more of a treat - to not have to do it when I get Lucy home!
Here are some photos of them having tea together...

Eating their tea together
(they seem to eat healthy food that they would normally reject when they are together!)
Jen, Max and Marc have are off to Germany for a few weeks over Christmas, so we'll miss these little play dates.
