The conservatories were quiet, as they always are in the mornings at this time of year. By late afternoon the whole place will be packed with visitors who these days have timed entry spots due to the frustratingly long lines and incidents of garden-rage in previous years!
Lucy got wet in the children's garden for change ;-) as she spent a long time 'painting' in the dragon's lair. We saw our gardener friend Lorrie and were invited to the Christmas Potluck Lunch next week, so we look forward to going to that and seeing everybody.
The displays were stunning and I am sure in the evening when the lights sparkle it is even better. We'll all go in the next few weeks on an afternoon so that we can see the displays in their full glory. Here is a taster of some of the amazing Christmas trees in the mean time...
Cascade Garden succulent tree
Fruit House succulent tree
Local school children have made the decorations for these trees
Silver Garden tree with mirrors and stars
East Conservatory tree covered with stunning blue butterflies
which gently flutter every once in a while
Fern Floor carpet of petals and pine cones
