Lucy's newest favourite pastime is playing with her new kitchen and cooking Granny and I some delicious plastic dinners. I bought the kitchen for her at a junk shop in town last week. Having spent ages in the shop deciding whether the part with the $7 for it (I am determined to only buy plastic toys second-hand whenever possible, and also to not buy her too many of any kind of toy!) I am delighted that I did. It replaced the tiny one that she had as a baby before she could stand, so is a lot more interesting for her to play with....a stove and a fridge, cooktop and sink etc.
Yesterday we went to the toy shop and Mum bought her some pots, pans and cooking utensils to use with it. She has been cooking us little plastic fried eggs, sausages and toast ever since!
