Fairgrounds and gardening

We went along to the Chester County Hospital May Festival on Saturday afternoon. It's a 15 minute walk away and is the hospital where Lucy was born :)

There were lots of stalls selling crafts, second-hand books, food and also a 'health tent'. Joe and I got a mini massage each from a really nice guy who works for Healing Hands in West Chester. Very good!

There was also a fairground and Lucy's favourite, a petting zoo. She chatted to llamas, sheep, ponies and goats. Definitely the highlight for her!

I got a lot of gardening done this weekend and loved it. My passion for being in the garden has reignited and I have a stack more things I want to do over the next few months....years even! I've done some new planting of some perennials, transplanted some older plants that were getting cramped and pulled out a load of ivy which was taking over the front bed. It looks a lot better already!

Joe has got back into cycling and has been doing a couple of long rides each weekend on his new bike. He's discovered some lovely country routes out of town and a few new riding pals too. Lucy loves his bike and loves to wear his helmet. When she was (attempting) to ride her trike today she wanted a hat too. Sweet!

Enjoy the pics!

  1. What a tease these pictures are of the new kitchen. Looks fab! Can't wait to see the whole thing.
