We had a lovely day yesterday with our new friends, Lizzie (Mum), Steve (Dad), Emily (Lucy's school friend) and teeny baby Charlotte (8 weeks old). We went along to their house in Keyston which is about 15 minutes away from us, a house which they bought a year or so ago and are panning to completely renovate. It is a stunning village manor with lots of lovely gardens and heaps of potential. Joe had his architect's hat on and gave them all sorts of advice and ideas. The girls had a run around the house and played in the playroom, and then got themselves dressed up ready for our trip to the pub for lunch.....

Afterwards we headed up the lane to the pub, The Pheasant, which is a cosy pub with an open fire and lots of yummy food. The girls were very well behaved considering the surroundings and being so excited to have each other there. They had a ball. Emily turns 3 in a few weeks and is the bubbliest little girl I have ever met. She talks all the time and gives a lovely running commentary on what is going on and what she is thinking. She is full of life and excitement. Lucy is already a big fan :)
Lucy and Emily with Joe - both are big fans!
