Lucy is staying at Granny's (my Mum's) today and spent last night over there for her first ever sleepover away from Mummy and Daddy. I haven't heard anything from them since last night at about 9pm so am assuming they are having a great time and doing some bonding :)
I am having a blissful day being able to potter about and not constantly be thinking of someone else. It is the first time since before Lucy was born that Joe and I have had this time without her. We had a late night as Joe was at a work dinner in London, while I stayed at home and listened to loud music and made lots of noise just because I could. We got a lie in this morning and then headed out for a bike ride around the country lanes. I headed over to Oundle to have tea with my new friend Lizzie and her tiny weeny poppet Charlotte (6 weeks old) and then came home for lunch at the pub with Joe. Now that I've done some emailing and pottering about the house I'm going to spend the rest of the afternoon in the garden tinkering with borders and pots and my new bird feeding station.
Anyone want to take on a 3 year old?
