We had a glorious day here of sunshine and warm temperatures. Lucy and I spent the morning in the garden rediscovering her little playhouse, her cozy coupe and her blue car, as well as many other things we had stashed away in the shed.We even found some shells from the beach last year.
The snow is melting fast but still very much about. About a third of our lawn is still under 2 inches of snow. The grass shows through where it gets the sun. One of my neighbours still has most of her garden under a lot of snow - easily 5 inches in some places as it doesn't get the sun. I am so ready to say goodbye to it!
I cleared out our back shed which is attached to the house as it needed a complete spring clean. I got to work with the garden tools that I had unearthed, and during nap time and got quite a bit tidied up. It felt great to be working in the earth again and getting fresh air without freezing to bits.
More days like these please!
