The snow is due to keep falling through until tomorrow. The airport is closed so Joe is stuck in Houston and hoping to get back in tomorrow. The town roads are covered and no sign of the ploughs since about 10.30am, some major roads are closed as there are blizzard-like conditions. We had no power for a few hours this morning which was a worry...I imagined a day or so without it, but luckily it came back on in time for Lucy's nap so the heating came back on :)
Mary Kay and Bob next door have been great and have helped by using their snow-blower machine on some of our paths (those that aren't too deep!). The rest I have shoveled by hand which is pretty back-breaking stuff. Therefore I am off to change my clothes, make a cuppa and sit by the fire before Luce wakes. She and I had fun this morning running up and down the street with her sledge, and throwing snowballs at Bob. Finally we have snowball and snowman-making snow!
