Yesterday we all took off to the zoo for the morning - Brandywine Zoo in Wilmington, Delaware which is about 40 minutes away from us. It was a perfect weather day - warm and sunny - and the zoo was the perfect size for a little person. We saw llamas, a bobcat, condors, otters, a capybara, parrots and monkeys (in a very smelly monkey house), to name a few. Not all your everyday animals found in your average toddler picture book, but watching any live animal would thrill Lucy. We were sad that the tiger (the showstopper at Brandywine) was unwell so in her bed, but we'll definitely go again and see her when she's feeling better. Enjoy the slideshow on the right!
Every moment Lucy has been in bed we have been putting our kitchen back together again as Mark left us with the finished proiduct on Wednesday evening. No more workmen in the house, no more tools all over the kitchen, no more dust (well, almost), and we have a fabulous kitchen that we just love. I have been in my element sorting out drawers and cupboards, setting the room up for use.
A few more finishing touches and some time to photograph it, and we'll post up the photos of the kitchen on the blog this weekend, in between our Easter Egg hunts and as trip to the farmyward to see the baby animals!
