These photos are a couple of days old and show the cabinets minus appliances...they have all now gone and the sink has too. We are trying to do a deal with the electrician's sister to sell her the stainless steel sink top - 11feet of beautiful SS in great condition with two huge sinks and a splashback. It's a treasure and has been kept in such great condition over it's 70 year life!
Meanwhile we are camping out in the downstairs toilet where cooking is concerned, with a microwave and a tiny (leaking) sink. The fridge is thankfully still in service in the basement, so I make trips down there to get everything while Lucy is either sleeping or strapped in the high chair...the kitchen door won't close properly and she is so fascinated by what's going on and who is in there that I can't leave her alone for fear that she'll wander in there! Unfortunately the basement is really not child-friendly, otherwise I would have set up a 'kitchenette' down there.
But we are managing fine, enjoying the thoughts of what it will be like when it's finished and getting out when we can. This morning I had a call from the heavens...well Jen actually, offering to have Lucy at her place for a few house while I went off to be Charlie again. SO nice and I feel very refreshed after a swim and a shop! Lucy and Max are best buddies and Lucy said her first sentence today - 'Where's Max?' Very cute!
Enjoy the photos...!
