Lucy's school experience

Lucy had a fun afternoon at her new school on Monday. It was a 'taster' session for about a third of the children in her class (they take a few at a time so as not to overwhelm them). She enjoyed playing in the classroom and loves the play house which has two floors! A shop downstairs and a house upstairs :) She loves playing make-believe so I can imagine how wonderful it is to play in something like that for her.

Her new teacher is Miss Cardy and she makes me feel old. I think she must be 10 years younger than me! She's very sweet and the children clearly love her. Apparently she doesn't take any prisoners so that'll keep them in check!

Now I need to order Lucy's new uniform and book bag, label it all and give it pride of place in her wardrobe. I just rearranged her wardrobe so that she can more easily access her clothes and therefore take part in choosing and getting dressed independently. She has been able to dress herself for some time although has just mastered socks which is great and she's very proud of herself. It's harder persuading her to get dressed in less than half an hour than anything else!
