Pirate Week

It's Pirate Week at Lucy's preschool and each day she has come home with a new saying and a new pirate-related craft which has been great fun. The teachers greet us each morning with pirate costumes on and they have built a galleon in the playground which the kids have been playing on. Lucy keeps breaking into 'oooooaahhhhhhhh' s and singing sailor songs! Hilarious.

Here she is eating dinner tonight with a pirate hat on that she made today.

I am so pleased with the preschool. The staff are so enthusiastic and have fun along with the children which makes such a difference. Lucy enjoys it enormously, especially eating her packed lunch there. She has made some nice friends and we are beginning to see some of them outside school which I find helps her cement the friendships a bit more. The main teacher, Alison, has a great sense of humour and makes Lucy giggle like nobody's business and teaches her funny jokes and rhyming games which she comes home full of. It has really brought her out of herself.
