Salcey Forest

Yesterday Lucy and I met up with my Mum and nephew Harry for a day at Salcey Forest in Northamptonshire. It's a lovely place for walking in the pine forest, playing on the playground and having lunch at the cafe. I was really impressed so we will come here again.

Lucy and Harry got on very well and both did a fabulous job of walking a long way - about a mile and a half! The muddy puddles helped keep them entertained. We walked on lovely hedgerow-lined paths through the open areas and into the forest in which they have built wooden walkways and bridges which take you high up into the trees for a great view of the surrounding countryside. It was a bit scary at the top!

Harry was heartbroken when it came to say goodbye at the end of the day as Lucy wouldn't give him a hug and kiss. Bless! But then Lucy got into the car and after a while she said "I love Harry Mummy".
