A few days ago we went to music class in West Chester (we are back into it again for the summer) and afterwards we popped into a new ladies consignment shop in town. It was impressive, with lots of great clothes at good prices, and a huge show department. It was light and bright, the clothes are fabulously presented and you don't get them sense at all that the clothes are second-hand as they are in such good nick. The shoe department was like a birthday gift for Lucy - she loves shoes, especially high-heeled ones. As I own barely any, she had a field day trying them on and clicking around the shop after me. My only way of getting her to leave was to promise her my high heels to wear when we got home. She has been wearing them around the house ever since, pretending to be a lady who comes to the front door (aka the kitchen door) and knocks, I let her in and we have a chat as though she has come for a visit. Very sweet.
I love my evenings to myself when Joe is away, and got plenty of reading time, some films watched, and some TV that Joe would ordinarily want to avoid. It is great to now have him home though, and we are looking forward to a lovely relaxing weekend together. Lucy was a picture at the train station when we collected Joe yesterday - she ran up to him with arms outstretched and gave him a very dramatic hug. She's certainly a Daddy's girl :)
